Church says summer program was successful
Flint, MI May 25, 2005 - A grant from YouthPartnersNET helped a local church provide food, crafts, tutoring and fun for local families.
Flint's Third Avenue Baptist Church has offered their Summer Safety Net Program for seven years and, according to Pastor Malcolm Brown, this year may have been their best to date. One hundred children in the near west-side neighborhood participated in the eight-week "survival" program, which included food, tutoring, Bible study, puppet shows, and more.
